2011 Audi RS 5

Just unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show is the Audi RS 5 equipped with a 450-bhp V-8 mated to a 7-speed twin-clutch transmission. This Quattro all-wheel-drive monster is capable of translating its 317 lb.-ft. of torque into 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration of just 4.6 sec. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. Want to go faster? Audi will reprogram the car and bump the limiter up to 174 mph upon request. All the while, you’re in an Audi with outstanding interior appointments such as leather/Alcantara sport seats and aluminum trim.

The RS 5’s 4.2-liter V-8 powerplant features variable valve timing and direct fuel injection. Max horsepower is reached at 8250 rpm, and maximum torque hits between 4000 rpm and 6000 rpm. Despite the car’s enormous power output, Audi tell us the RS 5 averages 21.8 mpg.
